I'm pissed. There's a raw milk shortage in all of Los Angeles. Every Erewhon, every Lassen’s, Lazy Acres too. No one else carries it. The farmers markets are too vegan. Whole Foods isn't alt anymore. This is the first time I've had any issues purchasing it for two years i’ve lived here. LA is actually the easiest city I've been able to obtain the milk in. In Miami there was a delivery service that would sell out in seconds, the Chad-ed tech bros allegedly made bots, and it was 40 dollars a gallon. When I lived in New York it was too easy for me to even bother obtaining it, the options were to meet at an Upper West Side dentist after hours every other Thursday, or you could pay extra to get it delivered by some milk man that refused to ever give an ETA.
They even took it down from the Erewhon app. I called Lassen’s and they said maybe next week. Other stores weren’t even able to give me an answer. I insisted on leaving them my contact info and begged them to notify me on the whereabouts about the next delivery or if they had an explanation to the shortage. My hypotheses is the micro tiktok trend of taste testing the milk, or the bird flu.
OKAY so I wrote that in the beginning of the month and now its back :D I was seriously so scared it was going to be gone forever. One day it was just back on the shelves everywhere…. like nothing ever happened.
let me know if u drink raw milk and if u were effected by the blackout
im so happy for you
